To all club members

Fixtures:
You may by now already have heard that the East Wales Private Green Bowls Association have cancelled all fixtures until at least the end of June 2020.
This will also include the Tuesday Alliance League, Wednesday evening and WBA fixtures. The intention is to run with a curtailed programme of fixtures from July subject to
ongoing advice from the Government and Health Authorities if appropriate.

Practice/RollUps:
As far as CABC is concerned, the club will still remain open for practice and roll ups (from 17th April 2020) should any player wish to attend the club during the summer months. This, of course will be subject to any further restrictions imposed by the Government as the current situation develops. Any players wishing to have a roll up should abide by the current advice issued by the government regarding keeping a safe distance, washing hands etc.

Club Maintenance:
Club maintenance including grass cutting will continue throughout the summers months.
There may be occasions when volunteers will be asked to assist as in previous seasons and these requests will be put out as and when necessary.
Similarly, voluntary attendance will be with the same precautions as above.

Presentation Night:
The club opening and presentation night originally planned for 17th April 2020 has been postponed.

Management Committee:
It is intended to continue with the Management Committee meeting scheduled for Thursday 2nd April @17:00hrs assuming that the committee members are still willing to attend. We already know that Bob and Terry will not be attending given their current health issues. We all wish them both a speedy recovery.

Torquay:

This is scheduled for July so we will keep an eye on this and keep it under review.

It goes without say that we are in uncharted waters. I wish all members continuing good health and hope to see you all as soon as this virus allows.

I will, of course update you with any developments in the future.

Regards,

For Chris Barrett
(Chairman CABC)
