We are again investigating the possibility of making our annual weekend bowls trip to Torquay again this year. I am currently in discussion with Torquay Leisure Hotels (TLH) to finalise a weekend on Friday 12th July 2024 to Sunday 14th July 2024. Total cost is £125 per person and includes bed/breakfast on both days and evening meal on Saturday night (Carlton Hotel).

Upgraded rooms are available with additional supplements:

  • Seaview rooms: £9 per person per night

  • Riviera front facing rooms: £7 per person per night

At this late stage, it is extremely difficult to consider other venues for the coming season, but if anybody is prepared to suggest and organise an alternative trip, I would be more than happy to hand over the reins for this year. In any case, before we can make a commitment to THL we need to know that there are sufficient numbers that want to go. If you want to go it is vital that you get back to me within the next few days either by email, mobile, phone, WhatsApp or in person. Please pass this email on to anybody who may not be in receipt of it. Whilst I understand that we have visited Torquay on a number of previous occasions, it is a very good venue in terms of facilities and teams to play in the surrounding area.If we cannot supply the required number of players from the club, I will open up the option to other clubs as on previous trips assuming that we can make up the required number of players.

I have promised TLH that I will get back to them within the next week. so, a prompt response either ‘yes' or ‘no' would be much appreciated.

On behalf of the Committee, Peter Christian, Tour Organise
