2024 EWC Notice
Cardiff Athletic Bowls Club
Cardiff Athletic Bowls Club
Ladies and Gentlemen,
Important Information.
I have received a letter from the Private Greens Bowling Association of Wales (PGBAW) which I have put up in the Home dressing room concerning our EWC team commitments. It stated that as we have only played one fixture and have four fixtures we cannot fulfil before the 6th July they have asked us to withdraw from the league. We all knew this was coming. I have contacted Steve Abberley the EWC Captain and Kevin Bush Fixture Sec for their comments. We have all come to the agreement that we accept the PGBWA’s proposal and withdraw from the EWC league with immediate effect. Hopefully, when we are in a better position with Members we can rejoin the league. I have informed the PGBAW of our decision.
We have also decided that until we rejoin the EWC League any member of the EWC (PG2) team who puts thayer names down to play in the Tuesday or Wednesday leagues will take priority in selection.
Sorry for the disturbing information but me and the two other members cannot see any other outcome for the not-too-distant future.
Thanking You for your support.
Phil Edwards, Club Secretary.
